地质工程国家级实验教学示范中心于2009年经教育部批准设立，是西部地区地质工程领域人才培养的重要基地。中心立足我国西部复杂地质环境特点，以大型工程建设与地质灾害防治的实践能力和创新能力培养为核心目标，构建了独具特色的"一体化、三层次、五训练"实验教学体系。
在实验教学组织上，中心从三个层次系统推进：基础型实验夯实学生的专业理论基础，综合设计型实验培养学生的工程思维能力，个性化创新型实验激发学生的科研创新潜能。同时，通过课程实验、开放性实验、校外基地实习、现场实验和实战实践训练等五大模块的综合训练，全方位提升学生的实践动手能力和创新思维水平。
中心师资力量雄厚，现有专兼职教师53人，其中教授15人、副教授22人，具有博士学位的教师占比超过80%。每年面向全校14个专业方向开设实验课程30余门，年接待学生超过3000人次。中心实行全天候开放运行模式，积极吸引学生开展个性化创新实验项目，并建立了完善的网络辅助教学平台和虚拟仿真实验系统，为学生提供多元化的学习资源和实践环境。
经过多年建设与发展，地质工程实验教学中心已成为我国地质工程领域学生实践能力和工程能力培养的专业型实验教学示范基地，同时也是高层次地质工程人才创新能力培养的国家级重要基地，在行业内具有广泛的示范引领作用和影响力。
National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Geological Engineering
The National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Geological Engineering was officially approved and established by the Ministry of Education in 2009. It serves as a vital base for talent cultivation in the field of geological engineering in western China. Focusing on the complex geological environment characteristics of western China, the center takes the cultivation of practical and innovative capabilities for large-scale engineering construction and geohazard prevention as its core mission.
The center has established a distinctive experimental teaching system featuring "Integration, Three Levels, and Five Training Modules." At the organizational level, the center systematically advances through three hierarchical stages: fundamental experiments to consolidate students' professional theoretical foundation, comprehensive design experiments to cultivate engineering thinking capabilities, and personalized innovative experiments to stimulate scientific research creativity. Meanwhile, through five integrated training modules including curriculum experiments, open experiments, off-campus base internships, on-site experiments, and practical field training, the center comprehensively enhances students' hands-on practical abilities and innovative thinking.
The center boasts a strong faculty team comprising 53 full-time and part-time teachers, including 15 professors and 22 associate professors, with over 80% holding doctoral degrees. Each year, the center offers more than 30 experimental courses covering 14 disciplinary directions, serving over 3,000 students annually. Operating on a full-time open-access model, the center actively attracts students to undertake personalized innovative experimental projects. It has also established a comprehensive network-assisted teaching platform and virtual simulation experiment system, providing students with diversified learning resources and practical environments.
Through years of construction and development, the Geological Engineering Experimental Teaching Center has evolved into a professional experimental teaching demonstration base for cultivating students' practical and engineering capabilities in China's geological engineering field. It has also become a national-level important base for cultivating innovative capabilities of high-level geological engineering talents, exerting extensive demonstration leadership and influence within the industry.
