05 Theme

Since 2005, the annual "International Forum on Groundwater" has become a premier academic feast and exchange platform for researchers and practitioners in the field of groundwater science and engineering. It has exerted a profound influence across hydrogeology, engineering geology, and environmental geology, establishing itself as a vital stage for showcasing cutting-edge theories, methodologies, technologies, and equipment in the realm of groundwater resources and the environment in the new era. The conference has played a pivotal role in advancing groundwater science and engineering in China, making outstanding contributions to ecological protection and promoting green development.

This year's conference will focus on 11 key topics, including water resources and ecology of the Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas, hydro-environmental impacts of major engineering projects, regional groundwater resources and environment, and so on. We sincerely invite experts and scholars from universities, research institutions, government departments, and enterprises worldwide together in Chengdu for the "2025 International Forum on Groundwater". We aim to share knowledges, experiences, and wisdom, thereby jointly promoting the comprehensive development of groundwater science and contributing to the sustainable support of groundwater for China's economic and social development.

07 Registration and Fees

Participants are required to scan the QR code in Figure 1 with Wechat to complete the online registration form by May 31, 2025. 

Registration fee: RMB 1,600 for professionals; RMB 1,000 for students. 

The registration fee for the conference includes meals during the conference period, but does not cover accommodation expenses. Accommodation must be arranged by participants themselves.

Recommended transportation routes are as follows:

From Chengdu Shuangliu Airport:

1. By Taxi: 

   - The most convenient option. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. 

   - Cost: Around ¥50-¥70. 

2. By Metro: 

   - Take Line 10 from Shuangliu Airport Station to Taipingyuan Station. 

   - Transfer to Line 3 and get off at Jinniu Station. 

   - From there, it’s a short walk or taxi ride to the hotel. 

   - Total travel time: 50-60 minutes. 

From Chengdu Tianfu Airport:

1. By Taxi: 

   - The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, depending on traffic. 

   - Cost: Around ¥150-¥200. 

2. By Metro: 

   - Take Line 18 from Tianfu Airport Station to South Railway Station. 

   - Transfer to Line 1 and get off at Renmin Road North Station. 

   - Transfer to Line 3 and get off at Jinniu Station. 

   - From there, it’s a short walk or taxi ride to the hotel. 

   - Total travel time: 1 hour and 30 minutes. 

From Chengdu East Railway Station:

1. By Taxi: 

   - The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. 

   - Cost: Around ¥40-¥60. 

2. By Metro: 

   - Take Line 7 from East Railway Station to Cultural Palace Station. 

   - Transfer to Line 4 and get off at Wansheng Station. 

   - Transfer to Line 3 and get off at Jinniu Station. 

   - From there, it’s a short walk or taxi ride to the hotel. 

   - Total travel time: 40-50 minutes.
