Stress testing is defined as a targeted reassessment of safety margins of a given system in light of extreme events, often to the breaking point, andis an effective way to cope with low-probability high-consequence events. This seminar presents astress-testing framework for managing the landslide risk in Hong Kong under extreme rainstorms in the changing climate. 报告人介绍: 张利民,香港科技大学教授、离心机实验所主任、岩土工程风险分析专家。美国土木工程师学会会士、国际岩土安全与风险学会前任主席、国际静压桩协会副主席、美国ASCE风险分析与管理委员会副主任、美国ASCE香港分会前任会长。国际土力学与岩土工程学会风险管理(TC304)、极限状态设计(TC205)、深基础(TC212)和法理调查(TC302)四个委员会委员。现任国际期刊Georisk主编、ASCE Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering副主编、Engineering Geology, Computers and Geotechnics、ASCE Natural Hazard Review、Journal of Mountain Science等国际知名期刊编委。在SCI杂志发表论文200余篇。 |
